Arthur Harris

US pianist, composer, arranger. Known chiefly for his arranging work for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and for the Philadelphia Orchestra. Studied at an early age with Stefan Wolpe and later at yale with Paul Hindemith. Has written for Broadway productions and jazz groups as well as for the concert stage, and made numerous arrangements. Among his original compositions: Diversion for Wind Quartet (1955). Worked with Marvin Holtzman and Fred Jay. Married soprano vocalist Lila Dekker in 1966.
