American composer, lyricist and pianist. Born January 27, 1927 in Los Angeles, California. Died September 25, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
His comic revues began in Los Angeles and moved to New York and London in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
His television credits include “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”, “The Danny Kaye Show”, the Goldie Hawn special “Pure Goldie”, and the variety series “Cher.”
His song “Something Cool” became a jazz standard after June Christy recorded it.
His song “Too Long at the Fair” was recorded by Barbra Streisand. Married to singer/actress Joyce Jameson (1952 - 1957).
