French Classical flautist , born October 27, 1934 in Marseille.
He began to study flute in 1944, at the Marseille Conservatory with the teacher Joseph Rampal, who was the father of Jean-Pierre Rampal. In 1951, he won the first prize at the International Geneva Competition. He played with the Paris Opéra-Comique Orchestra from 1954 to 1966 and then in the Paris Opéra Orchestra until 1978. Alongside these positions, he also was a chamber musician, replacing Jean-Pierre Rampal in the Ensemble Baroque De Paris in 1970 and recording with Orchestre de Chambre Jean-François Paillard.
