John Lanchbery, OBE (born 15 May 1923, London, England, UK - died 27 February 2003, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) was an English, later Australian, composer and conductor. He served as the Principal Conductor of the Royal Ballet from 1959 to 1972. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1991. He became an Australian citizen in 2002, making his home in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
