Real name: Morton Lippman

American pianist, composer, band leader and musical director.
Born March 21, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey.
Died May 4, 2012 (89 years of age) in Malibu, California.
He was married to Betty Bonney (aka Judy Johnson) (1954-2012).
Best known as the music director for Judy Garland in the 1960s as well as the musical director for Barbra Streisand, Pat Boone, Jack Narz, and more than two decades for “The Merv Griffin Show”. He was the NBC staff pianist (1948-1951). He earned a BA degree from Columbia University and an MA from Columbia University Teachers College.
