Mike Schmidt

Real name: Michael Schmidt

Mike Schmidt (1950-1996), was a German artist and musician. Most notable as the head of the art outlet Ink Studios, he also set up Ink Records (3) in Kreuzstrasse, Düsseldorf in 1980 to release the Croox album "A", in which he played the synthesizer, bass and also provided vocals. The majority of Mike's output as an artist was providing cover and package design for artists such as Michael Cretu, Sandra, Hubert Kah and Moti Special - in most of these releases he would team up with photographer Dieter Eikelpoth.

Often printed on the sleeve as "Mike Schmidt ∢ Ink Studios".
