Pekka Lunde

Real name: Per-Erik Pekka Gustaf Lunde

Swedish composer and musician with theremin as his speciality. Born July 2, 1952 in Uppsala, died June 30, 2021 of cancer.

He started in the 70s rock group Ensamma Hjärtan together with Gunnar Danielsson. They later formed Danielsson & Pekkanini which i.a. became known for his summer hit "Som Sommaren". Pekkanini released two solo albums in the 1980s: "Pekkanini" and "Spotlight". Since the early 1980s he has been mainly writing music for the theatre scene. Dramaten, Stockholms Stadsteater, Angereds Teater and Malmö Stadsteater are some of the institutions he has been active at. He has also worked with a number of independent groups and projects around the country. He participated in Talang 2010 and went on from audition, but no longer. That same year, he won his category "off the beaten track" in the London-based music competition The People's Music Awards with his song "Theremin goes Pop!".
