Biography
Micky Main
Real name: Johanna Svolanek
Effective period / Period of releases: 1958 - 1959
Peter Kraus' film partner in the late 1950s, Conny Froboess, was not allowed to record with him for contractual reasons (other record company Electrola). So the producers of Polydor were looking for a similar-sounding voice and replaced Conny Froboess with another singer. 16-year-old Johanna Svolanek was discovered at a casting in Vienna. She was quickly given the stage name Micky Main. A year later, the record companies agreed and Micky Main's short career was over.
