Chris Suchanek
Real name: Christopher Suchánek
Chris Suchánek was the owner of Slog Records, a strategically funded independent record label that was formed in the '90s. With major label distribution and various publishing deals with companies like EMI Music Publishing, Chris had the financial and logistical support to work with some of the best in the business. He also managed other artists under his artist management division called SB Management.Chris worked with a diverse range of artists, including ethereal pop bands like The Autumns, indy pop artists like Pushstart Wagon, and alternative rock bands like Driver Eight. His ability to recognize and nurture talent was on par with some of the best in the industry, and his label quickly gained a reputation for releasing quality music that was innovative. Through solid working strategic partnerships with major labels and companies like Warner Bros, MTV, and Ocean Records, Chris was able to distribute his artists' music to a wider audience. This allowed him to reach new heights of success, as he held executive production or production credits on over 35 albums distributed internationally.
During this period, Chris also served as the director of marketing and publicity for BAI, a company that won both Dove Awards and Grammys during his time with them. His expertise in the industry was highly valued, and he was known for his ability to create successful marketing campaigns that propelled his artists to new levels of success.
As of 2022, Suchánek is actively engaged in music, primarily focusing on songwriting for both up and coming as well as more established artists. He has been collaborating with musician and producer Rande Vick on a project called "The Lather." Together, they are working on creating music that reflects their collective passion for the industry. With his extensive experience and expertise in songwriting, Chris is once again committed to bringing out the best in the artists he works with.
