Ray Brown

Guitar, Composer, ProducerRay Brown was an Australian musician. He worked as a bank teller prior to founding Ray Brown & The Whispers in 1964, but after 9 singles, several EP's and an album, he parted company with The Whispers in late 1966.. After an attempt to find success with "The New Whispers", Brown moved to the US, where he signed an unsuccessful record deal with Capitol Records. In 1970 Brown returned to Australia, and founded Moonstone (4), and "One Ton Gypsy" in 1971. He died of a heart attack in Sydney in August 1996.
