Bernhard Aichner (1972) lives as a writer and photographer in Innsbruck. He writes novels, radio plays and theater pieces. He has been awarded several literary prizes and scholarships for his work, most recently the Burgdorf Crime Prize 2014, the Crime Cologne Award 2015, and the Friedrich Glauser Prize 2017.The thrillers in his "Totenfrau" trilogy topped the bestseller lists for months. The novels were sold in 16 countries, including the USA and England. Several of his novels have been made into films, including his Totenfrau trilogy for Netflix/ORF.
