Tabla master musician from Calcutta. Pandit Mahapurush Misra (1932-1987) was a professor at the Ali Akbar College of Music in Calcutta, and taught in the USA during the late 1960s. Performed extensively with Ali Akbar Khan. Additionally, he was featured on The Beatles' recording 'The Inner Light', as well as George Harrison's 'Wonderwall' soundtrack.
