Biography
Superpussy
Australian Punk Band.
Gary Epton (Guitar)
Greg Alfaro (Drums)
Andy Staig (Bass/Vocals)
Forming in early 2005, it was only a matter of months before Superpussy had established themselves as one of the leading bands on the local scene in Wollongong. After recording a well received three track demo and playing a handful of shows locally, the band kicked off 2006 supporting The Mark Of Cain at Sydney's Gaelic club. With backgrounds in various punk rock bands both in Australia and New Zealand, the band came together in the tranquil surrounds of the Illawarra's northern suburbs to create their brand of noisy punk rock. Gary Epton(Guitar) and Greg Alfaro(Drums) had previously played together in nineties Wollongong band Full Tab, while Andy Staig(Bass/Vocals) had spent most of his earlier music years fronting New Zealand band Boner. With a bunch of songs written and an increasing number of shows under their belt, the band headed to Mixmaster Studio's in Adelaide to record their debut release 'Up To No Good'. With the legendary Tony Cohen (Nick Cave, Beasts of Bourbon, Dirty Three) producing the recording, Superpussy have laid down an awesome eight track effort that is set to make punk rock fans all over the place sit up and take notice
