American television and film composer.
Born December 6, 1923 in Hurdle Mills, Person County, North Carolina, USA.
Died March 28, 2019 (age of 95) in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA.
At one time he was married to singer Dee Wood Laws.
His most widely known work may be an adaptation of Johnny Marks' score for the well-known Christmas special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, first aired in 1964. He also composed for Frosty the Snowman and The Hobbit (1977).
