Born September 6, 1946 in Petřkovice near Ostrava (former Czechoslovakia). Died August 26, 2022 in Prague, Czech republic. Wife of Štefan Margita. Ex-wife of Vlastimil Harapes.
After being possibly the most popular Czechoslovak female vocalist of the late 1970s and the 1980s, in June 1989 she was banned by the communist regime after signing the Charta 77 petition “Několik vět” (“Several sentences”); the ban ended with the collapse of the regime in November 1989.
