The Slaughter Slits were conceived in the basement of a slaughterhouse in the city of Trondheim, Norway in 1998. They released one track on a compilation CD (We Are Hello Vol.1) and also participated in MC releases with along with various noise artists. The Slaughter Slits was revived in 2015.
On the debutalbum "Ripped, raped and torn apart" The Slaughter Slits collaborate with rapper Johnathan Irby (Sarasota, Florida), Psychedelic rockers The Nomad Nipples (Trondheim, Norway) and death metal band Garlik Deth (Mosjøen, Norway). The album is mastered by metal engineer Tom Kerr (Einherjer, Evig Natt, Reism)
The Slaughter Slits considers itself Blacktronica, deep black electronica with elements of metal, violence, noise and heavy beats.

The Slaughter Slits "Ripped, raped and torn apart" is available as a prerelease on Bandcamp and CDBaby from November 12. 2017. A censored version of the album was released on all major streaming services December 5th. 2017
