Soul trio from Washington D.C.Francine Barker a.k.a. Francine Hurd formed the group with Dyanne Stewart and Nancy J. Johnson in the mid 60's and debuted at Mira Records, a subsidiary of los Angeles' Mirwood. They released just one single with the name The Darlettes before they named themselves The Sweet Things and signed a contract in 1965 with Columbia's Date.
