Sinister Demise originally formed in 1997 as a four-piece old school death metal outfit. After a few false starts, the line-up that recorded their debut demo came about in 2002 and decided to scrap their old material in favor of a faster and heavier approach. Taking influence from bands such as Malevolent Creation, Suffocation, and Morbid Angel, etc. The band's debut demo was recorded over three days in June/July 2003 with Mick Richards at Trackmix Studios in Dublin.
They released their second demo “Eluded By Enlightenment” in 2007. There isn’t a whole lot of info available on the band around this time, so line-up and recording info isn’t clear. The band folded soon after in 2009.
