Anal Aids formed in 2009 in Västervik, Sweden by the two friends Gustav 'Gürk' Pettersson and Max 'MX' Jonsson.
Gürk had played guitar for some years, but had not been in any noteworthy projects. Drum machine software was discovered by MX, who prior to this had not played any instrument, but taught himself how to play bass.
Upon this foundation the band set out to create grind which they deemed fun. By the start of 2011 the first EP Anal Aids - Örjan At Birth was self produced and self released. The majority of copies sold through direct contact with the band.
