The Razor's Edge started out in Palm Beach County as the R-Dells (aka The Ardells (2)). After the Beatles hit, Steve Palmer had the idea of renaming them "The American Beetles" and sending them on a South American tour. After they returned, they hooked up with Bob Yorey, who was also producing local acts like the Mar-Vells and Bill Robinson & The Quails. They went to upstate New York and did "Let's Call It A Day Girl" and several other tracks, that Yorey put out on the Pow label. After returning to South Florida, Palmer put out their final single, "Get Yourself Together".
