Curley Mays

Blues and rhythm & blues guitarist, born November 26, 1938 in Maxie, Louisiana, moved to Beaumont, Texas, during childhood. As a singer, he only recorded two titles for Carnival, "I’m walkin’ on" and "Oh why".
He toured with Etta James 1959-1963 and with Five Royales. James Brown a.o. during the 1960s, recording with Amos Milburn in 1962. He continued working clubs in the San Antonio area into the 1970s.
