Australian guitarist & singer born in Sydney, 1949, who began performing and recording at a young age. After some success with The Executives, at age 20 he sought his fortune in the USA. Along with the guitarist of The Executives (3), Ray Burton (2) (also co-author of I Am Woman by Helen Reddy), in 1972 Cunico released Ray Burton, Gino Cunico - Strive, Seek, Find, produced by Artie Ripp, co-founder of Kama Sutra. In 1974 Clive Davis founded Arista with artists such as Barry Manilow, Bay City Rollers, Eric Carmen, and Melissa Manchester, and Cunico debuted on Arista with the release Gino Cunico, produced by Vini Poncia. The LP also contains the remake of Daydreamer, David Cassidy's 1973 hit. His solo career ended after this release, though he remained active as a songwriter and in roles behind the scenes.
