Emil Cossetto (Triest,Italy, 12th, Oct 1918 - Zagreb,Croatia, 28th, Jun 2006) - Croatian composer, conductor and music teacher. Cossetto studied conducting at the Zagreb Music Academy. He specialized in amateur choir-conducting and founded (1945) as well as lead for many years the choirs OKUD "Joža Vlahović" and KUD "Moša Pijade". Accordingly he contributed during his lifetime a significant choir-music opus as composer. He was also a member and chairman (1968-1970) of the Croatian Conductor Association.
