He was married to singer/actress Julietta Novis (1929 - 193?).
Novis was born in England but pursued his singing/acting career in the United States. He sang with many big bands in the 1930’s and appeared in several films. He sang songs for various Disney animated shorts and films, most notably singing the Academy Award nominated song "Love is a Song" from Bambi.
