In 1962 as his health began to fade, Bill Black (2) handed over leadership of Bill Black's Combo to guitarist Bob Tucker who become the leader of the Combo for the next 30 years. He and Larry Rogers bought Lyn-Lou Studios and the right to use the name Bill Black’s Combo after Bill Black’s death in 1965. As of 2012, Bob Tucker is the owner of Bob Tucker Motors; a 2-acre used highway bus dealership just off Interstate 55 in Marion, Arkansas.
