Edmond Cohanier
Swiss jazz clarinetist and saxophonist, born February 28, 1905 in Talloires, France.
Studied music and played in France with, among others, Jack Purvis 1928, Ludwig Gluskin 1932, and Louis Armstrong 1934. Moved to Switzerland and from late 1944 pursued a career outside jazz as a saxophone virtuoso. He also taught at the Zürich Conservatory.
