Anika Bostelaar was born in Etten-Leur, The Netherlands, on 5 juni 1981. She was a member of the British group Girl Thing that existed from 1998 until 2001. Before she joined Girl Thing, she acted in several Dutch TV commercials.

In 2007 she released her (to date) only solo-release: the single King Of The Dancefloor. Since her former website www.kianamusic.com was disabled it seems like there are no plans for further releases. The domain name kianamusic.com has in the mean time been taken over by another artist.
