American actress, singer and radio personality.
Born 18 April 1919 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Died 16 January 2001 in Woodland Hills, California, USA.
She was known for her comedic singing roles in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musicals of the 1940s.
She was known by many nicknames including "Miss Red Hot Frozen Face", "Miss Deadpan", "Frozen Face", and "Miss Ice Glacier".
In the 1980s and 1990s she toured the country in a one-woman show and recorded a live album at the famed Masquers Club entitled, "Virginia O'Brien Salutes The Great MGM Musicals".
