Musician, sound engineer, producer and songwriter based in Austin, Texas.
Originally from Victoria, Texas, Gathright played with the band The Country Drifters, later renamed The Drifters. He then moved to Austin, Texas, where he was a member of the rock band The Stripes and co-founded the recording studio Music Lane with his brother Lynn Gathright. After selling the studio, he starting writing and recording his own songs.
