Spanish flamenco guitarist José Álvarez Soruve aka Pepe de Badajoz (b. Madrid,1896 - d. Madrid,1970.) accompanied numerous famous singers throughout the 20th century. Brother of the as well known Manolo de Badajoz (b. Badajoz, 1892 - d. Madrid, 1962) and Ernesto de Badajoz (b. Madrid, 1902 - d. Madrid, 1972.) His also was the uncle of the as well talented Justo Álvarez Fernández (son of Manolo), better known as Justo De Badajoz (b. Badajoz, 1921 - d. Madrid, 2011.)
