"Daughter of a Fleet Street journalist, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and started her career as a repertory actress. Four years later, she left repertory to study singing. Her first West End show was "Hassan" at the Cambridge Theatre. Later shows included Noel Coward's "After the Ball", "Under Milk Wood", "Where's Charlie?", "No Bed for Bacon", and "Antarctica". On TV, Marion had had starring roles in major musical shows. Radio jobs include guest spots on "Waltz Time" and The Ivor Novello Story" for the B.B.C."
