American rock and country singer, songwriter, and guitarist, born in Texas City, Texas (USA). Lewis grew up in Monahans, Texas, and moved to Tarzana, California in 1971. His first single The Loneliest Cowboy was released as by Dave Lewis in 1975, and his first album as by David Lewis (on tax scam label Tiger Lily Records). His second & subsequent albums have been released as by David Earl Lewis. He has worked with Roy Howell and John David Souther, and was the stage manager for John Stewart and Chris Whelen. He also attended Sound Masters School of Audio Engineering, and worked at ABC Recording Studios in Beverly Hills.Do not confuse with David Lewis.
