Brooklyn's cabaret-inspired Sweet Soubrette started as a solo project of singer/songwriter/ukulele player Ellia Bisker with songs about books, bad women, and the mysteries of existence. Today she is backed by a 7-piece band with bass, drums, violin, keys, and a horn section.
