Real name: 杨帆

Yang Fan (杨帆) first met Wang Yue and Yi Lina at the age of 15 in a bootlegs store in Beijing when she asked them for a cigarette. They went on to form Hang On The Box in 1998, known as China's first all-female punk band. Yang Fan was originally the drummer until Shen Jing joined, then switched to being their guitarist until leaving in 2003 after the release of the band's second album. She then formed Ourself Beside Me in 2003, being the primary songwriter, guitarist and lead vocalist before embarking on other solo and collaborative music as well as composing and performing music for theatre and film.
