French Mandolin player (born on April 22, 1934 in Gonesse near Paris).

He began his musical education at the age of 13 under the direction of Maria Scivittaro, an international concert artist and demanding teacher. After a few years of work, Christian Schneider has already developed a technique, a sound, a virtuosity, a sensitivity such that at 16 years old he enters the "Mandoline Orchestre de Paris" founded by Mario Maciocchi. Two years later, at 18, he joined the Mandolin' Club De Paris, a professional orchestra directed by Jeanne Ricada-Mathorez. Working with Pierre Boulez and the Ensemble Intercontemporain was another milestone in his career, but he was also passionate about performing in small groups throughout his career.
