Biography

The One Nite Alone Band
Members: Candy Dulfer, Maceo Parker, Rhonda Smith, Greg Boyer, John Blackwell, Prince Rogers Nelson, Renato Neto
The One Nite Alone Band is an unofficial name given to Prince's live ensemble on one of Sabotage Records' bootlegs documenting selected Japanese shows from One Nite Alone… Tour in November 2002. All official live releases from the tour were credited to The New Power Generation, besides C-Note, a collection of pre-show soundchecks accessible only to NPG Music Club members, which also didn't name the band specifically. The concert on 28 November 2002 at Osaka-Jo Hall, a penultimate show of the tour, which is documented in its entirety on Sabotage bootleg, notably featured a slightly different lineup, with Eric Leeds on saxophone instead of Candy Dulfer; other guests who only appeared on selected dates during One Nite Alone… Tour included Najee (saxophone) and Dudley D. (turntables).
