Wilhelm August Jurek
Austrian composer, conductor and kapellmeister (born 29 April 1870 in Vienna, Austria and died 9 April 1934 in Vienna, Austria).
Jurek served three years in the K.u.k. Infanterie-Regiment Hoch- und Deutschmeister Nr. 4, from 1891 to 1894. Later, he became a well-known military bandleader and choir director.
Over his lifetime, Jurek composed more than 300 works. Still popular are his "Deutschmeister-Regimentsmarsch" (1893) and the song er "Geh mach' dei Fensterl auf" (Come, open your window).
