John Fortier, is partly responsible for the rise in Electronic Dance Music and DJ Culture in South West Louisiana. In the early 90s, he was known to spin an eclectic mix of early Techno and helping break the Breakbeat sound that is so prevalent in the area to this day. He also holds the title of being the first artist in SW Louisiana to successfully release a dance remix on a National/International label (Art of Mix Remix Service). John was resident DJ at such clubs as Kingfish, Makos, The Plaza and Outer Limits.
