Born 28 February 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio.
American conductor, composer and arranger, especially known for his many fine transcriptions of classical works for wind band.
From 1947 to 1952 he led the Kiltie Band of the Carnegie Institute of Technology, then joined the music faculty of the University of Southern California (USC) conducting the wind ensemble for many years.
