Czech heavy metal band formed 1982 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia), whose founders were singer Aleš Brichta, guitarist Jiří Urban and drummer Miroslav Nedvěd. Since its inception, it has firmly stood in the line of strong heavy metal straightforward music with mostly its own work, which has appealed to a large number of fans from the beginning. It became a sought-after concert group, which also played songs from foreign metal legends and current tops. In 2002, Brichta decided to leave the group on the 20th anniversary. In the current line-up of Arakain, only Jiří Urban remained of the original members.
