Seven-piece 1980’s live UK jazz-funk band from Birmingham. Originally mainly an instrumental band, led by guitarist Elliot Browne, later joined by British soul singer Jaki Graham, on vocals, before she signed to EMI in 1983. TMWB were a popular live act, playing in front of full audiences, in clubs in Birmingham and London. TMWB released one single, and recorded an album (not released), with new vocalist. In the late 80’s TMWB supported artists like Louis Hayes, Shakatak and Roy Ayers. Many band members continued playing and developed diverse musical careers in the UK, Europe and the USA.
