Nina Spirova is considered to be the best female artist of the second generation Macedonian pop singers. She is also known as a performer of traditional Macedonian folk songs. Nina became famous in former Yugoslavia after her win at Opatija 1962 festival with one of the biggest Macedonian evergreens, "Eden baknež", recently featured on the soundtrack of Milcho Manchevski's film "Shadows (Senki)" (2007). Another of her best known songs is "Ezero moe", which won the First Jury and the Best Interpretation Award at Skopje Fest 1969. She recorded many songs by the famous Macedonian composers Ljubomir Brangjolica, Dimitar Masevski, Dragan Gjakonovski-Špato...
