Dutch composer and conductor (August 14, 1911 - April 28, 2006). He was first conductor at the Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam and become later a leading conductor at the Symphonie-Orchester Des Bayerischen Rundfunks.In 1966, he got a professorship for conducting at the Musikhochschule München.
