Born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on 15 August 1934. He moved to New York City in 1957. Mainly recorded as Joe Moore his recordings appearing on a number of imprints including: CB, Tru-Glo-Town, Marv-v-Lus, Verve. Primarily a songwriter and back-up vocalists he worked with Jesse Herring Jr on a number of mid 60s releases from New York and Chicago. Had left the music business by 1970. Died 22 October 2014
