Peter Behrendsen (* 1943 in Wiener Neustadt, † 2021 in Cologne) was a radio producer, a performer of old and new electronic music, and a composer of live electronic and electro-acoustic music and text-sound pieces since 1972. He was a member of Josef Anton Riedl’s group and long-time collaborator of the 'Studio für Akustische Kunst' at the WDR radio in Cologne. As his 'teachers' he regarded John Cage, Alvin Lucier, Jackson Mac Low and David Tudor with whom he collaborated many times.
