Khalil Souzou is an experimental beat composer, instrumentalist and musician from the inner city of Atlanta Georgia. Switched on by the bump music that played between shows on Adult Swim, a late night block of cartoons that airs on Cartoon Network, Khalil became intrigued by the beats that would play and dreamed that one day he could make and hear his own beats being played. From then on he began to study music even more by picking up violin and learning the guitar as a basis to understanding the fundamental structure of music and its foundation. Soon after becoming more exposed to music of different genres, styles and cultures alongside the various beat makers that can be found on such labels as Ghostly International, Warp, Alpha Pup, Stones Throw, Leaving Records, Brainfeeder, Young Arts Records and other legendary beat makers such as J Dilla, Madlib, Black Milk, Nujabes and Dibia$e, he began crafting his own individual sound of expression to constantly evolve as an artist and a person.
