Frankie Gearing
Real name: Frances Yvonne (Frankie) Gearing
Born: December 17th, 1944 in Daytona Beach, FloridaWhile in High School, she performed with her own group, the Co-eds, later joining the all-male The Laddins in 1962. When the Laddins group split, she joined the majority of the guys and recorded as The Steinways. Later formed The Glories with Mildred Vaney and Betty Stokes.
Quiet Elegance signed to Hi Records in 1972. Frankie performed most of the lead vocals.
Frankie Gearing released her "Just Frankie Gearing" LP in 1980 on the Beale Street label.
