Real name: Freddy Poulsen

Danish jazz and folk/skiffle artist later turned painter and sculpturor, born 22 November 1935, died 24 October 2016. First appeared as jazz bassist in the mid 50's, also playing trombone and banjo, among others with the Adrian Bentzon's Jazzband. In the late 60's with the release of Jailhouse / Dallas Rag he took the artist name Freddy Fræk performing novelty-, children- and folk songs in skiffle-style accompanying himself on banjo and kazoo. In the late 90's he arranged music by Thelonious Monk for banjo. His musical career slowed down in the late 70's as he started to focus on his profession as Academy educated visual artist.
