American pianist, now lives in Russia. From 1991 - 2010 he was music director and conductor of Moscow Chamber Orchestra. Founder of The Palaces of St. Petersburg Festival.

Should not be confused with his paternal uncle, composer Konstantin Orbelian (Константин Орбелян), whom he was named after.
