Perhaps New Zealand's second most successful soprano after Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
In 1963 she won the Mobil Song Quest and in 1965 she left for England to study at the London Opera Centre and at the Royal College Of Music.
Dame Malvina’s international opera career has included twenty eight major Operatic roles, extensive Oratorio and Concert repertoire and discography of commercial recordings.
Dame Malvina currently holds a teaching position as a Senior Fellow in Music at the University of Waikato. Hamilton, New Zealand.
